children suffer childhood sexual violence worldwide. These number would make up the third most populous country in the world, after India and China.
More than 1.4 billion people
(1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men) have experienced sexual violence.
Survivors of childhood sexual abuse are 66% more likely to suffer from major depressive disorder
and 87% more likely to develop problematic substance use, compared to their peers who did not suffer such experiences.

Protecting childhood is part of the game is a campaign led by Adultxs por los Derechos de la Infancia, with the support of Tauwetter, which brings together people and organizations from around the world to raise awareness of sexual abuse in childhood through the voices of survivors, in the context of global sporting events.
Adultxs por los Derechos de la Infancia is an independent collective from Argentina, made up of adult survivors of sexual abuse during childhood who are committed to defending the rights of children and adolescents. Additionally, they are dedicated to providing supportive accompaniment to adult survivors and to those who protect child victims today.
Tauwetter was founded in Germany as a support group for people who have experienced sexual violence in childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. They combat this type of violence by highlighting the social conditions that enable it.
