Tebogo Mabotsa is a South African gender activist and survivor advocate with a strong commitment to addressing HIV, AIDS, and gender-based violence (GBV). Living with HIV, Tebogo has used his personal experience to support others through leadership roles in health and community organizations.
Tebogo has worked with the Olive Leaf Foundation as a GBV health promotion coordinator, the Grassroots Soccer Organization, the Anova Health Institute, and Agisanang Domestic Violence, where he served as Lead Facilitator in men’s programs in his hometown of Alexandra, Johannesburg. He has also worked for Brothers for Life and the Masiphephe Network Program under the Centre for Communication Impact.
His journey was featured in the documentary Goal for Hope, produced after the 2010 Soccer World Cup, and in 2013 he was nominated as a panelist at the One Young World Summit in Johannesburg, focusing on the challenges of HIV and GBV.
Currently, Tebogo works with Matchboxology as a life coach under the Coach Impilo program, managing 15 health facilities in Limpopo Province. He is also a member of the Brave Movement, raising his voice for justice and reform nationally and globally.
